What should I expect if this is my first massage?

Your appointment will usually begin with a brief medical history and standard intake form. Your desires regarding types of massage, pressure, body parts to be worked on and all details will be determined by you.

How do I know how often to get a massage?

That depends on your goals. Chronic pain or recent surgery or injury may initially require several visits. After that, you can decide how often you want to include massage in your self-care.  I am happy to share some stretches and other feel-good tips that you can use in-between visits.

What kind of massage is best?

You and I will decide what works best for you. How does Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) differ from regular massage?

Swedish relaxation, neuromuscular therapy, and deep tissue massage are all designed to affect the soft tissue, meaning muscles, tendons, and ligaments, as well as the skin. Do I have to completely undress?

Many types of massage can be effectively done while you remain fully clothed. You will decide what your comfort level is when undressing. You will be discreetly covered.

How much does it cost?

A 30-minute session is $55, for any type or combination of treatments. A 60-minute session is $90, for any type or combination of treatments.

Do you take insurance?

I do not take insurance or do any third-party billing. I will gladly provide you with a “superbill”, which you can then submit to your insurance for reimbursement or towards your deductible.
